Why Tacoma Drivers File Lemon Law Claims

Tacoma drivers commute to JBLM, into Seattle, and across the South Sound — putting heavy daily use on vehicles that should last well past warranty. When dealership repairs keep failing, Washington's lemon law gives you real leverage.

Whether you bought new from a dealer on South Tacoma Way, in Lakewood, Puyallup, or Federal Way, RCW 19.118 covers you. We've recovered settlements for South Sound drivers across every major manufacturer — Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Jeep — without out-of-pocket cost.

Why Tacoma Trusts Our Washington Lemon Law Attorneys

We're a high-volume lemon law firm serving Washington consumers. Over $47M recovered, 5,000+ cases settled, and a focused practice that does one thing: get drivers out of defective vehicles.

  • Lemon law is all we do — no distractions across other practice areas.
  • Familiar with Washington's RCW 19.118 (Wallace's Lemon Law) and the New Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board (NMVAB).
  • Local presence supporting the Puget Sound region, Eastern Washington, and beyond.
  • No upfront cost — manufacturers pay attorney fees in most successful Washington claims.

What Is Washington's Lemon Law?

Washington's lemon law — formally the Motor Vehicle Warranties Act (RCW 19.118), often called "Wallace's Lemon Law" — protects new-vehicle buyers and lessees whose vehicles have a serious defect that the manufacturer can't fix in a reasonable number of attempts.

Unlike many states, Washington offers a free state-administered arbitration program through the New Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board (NMVAB). If you qualify, you can pursue a refund (buyback) or a comparable replacement vehicle — and the manufacturer typically pays your attorney fees if you win.

Do YouQualify Under Washington Lemon Law?

  • It has a serious defect substantially impairing use, value, or safety.
  • The manufacturer has had a reasonable number of repair attempts (generally 4+, or 2 for serious safety defects).
  • Your vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative 30+ days for warranty repairs.
